Allen Parr overview
After teaching the Bible for the first time in 1998 and enrolling at Dallas Theological Seminary in 2000, Allen Parr became a preacher. His life’s mission has been to spread the gospel and teach other people how to read the Bible.
Early life
Allen G. Parr Jr. was born on November 15, 1975, and he currently resides in McKinney, Texas. Even though the preacher now leads a peaceful life, it wasn’t always like that.
When he was 6, his parents split up, throwing him into a swirl of confusion. Shortly after his parents split up, his father introduced him to Jesus, and explained the gospel to him and led him to accept him as his Savior.
When he was 19, a man guided him by introducing him to Bible reading, which became an instant habit for him, and it soon became an important part of his life. In spite of this, he never wanted to become a preacher so long as he was young and had a successful engineering career.
“If money was not a concern, what would you do with the rest of your life?”
It was this question that forced him to leave his comfort zone, which led him to enroll in DTS and begin the process of training to become a minister.
It was quite a tough journey for him since he was a minister part-time while also teaching high school mathematics to make ends meet.
Personal life
Though he wanted to get married in 2004, he remained single for a long time, sharing and learning throughout. Eventually, he met his life partner, Jennifer.
Jennifer won his heart instantly, and the couple wed on November 15, 2015. They have two children, Micah and Anaiah Parr, with whom they have a fulfilling family life.
