Charity

He was described by several of his friends as being a playboy back then. He first married in 1950, but their relationship ended in divorce. While they were married, he had an affair. His wife couldn’t deal with this, so they divorced.
He did not marry again for the next 20 years. A woman named Nancy Gresham met him after he had simply dated and not gotten too serious with anyone else. It was love at first sight when he saw her. His closest friends and family members witnessed his marriage to Nancy in 1995. A long time had passed since he was married, so he wanted to make this a memorable event for everyone. There are ten children in Malnik’s family, four of whom are from his first marriage and six from his second.
Education
After completing Clark Elementary School, Alvin Malnik completed his high school education at Soldan High School in 1950. In 1954, he graduated from Washington University with a bachelor’s degree. From 1954 to 1956, he was a Guided Missile Officer in the United States Army and rose to the rank of Reserve Captain. In 1956, he graduated with honors and earned both an LLB and a JD from the University of Miami.
Career
Before becoming an expert in real estate development and finance, he spent ten years as a lawyer. There are no judgments against him or bankruptcy proceedings against him. In addition to serving as a founding member of the University of Miami Founders Society, he is the founder of the University of Miami/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, the creator of Mount Sinai Hospital, and the first lifetime benefactor of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of South Florida.
Malnik founded South Florida’s second-oldest restaurant, the world-famous Forge Restaurant, 40 years ago, along with his real estate and finance businesses. This restaurant is among the country’s landmark restaurants. Additionally, the International Grand Master Wine Award was presented to the Forge, and it was named the best restaurant in America by Wine Spectator magazine.
