Couple Goals? – Is This a Toxic Relationship or Two People Clear About Their Preferred Roles and Insecurities?

A TikTok clip featuring a couple’s controversial relationship rules has gone viral, with some rules being “no opposite gender friends” and even location tracking at all times. Have they gone too far?

Tracking Lovers

Rachel and her fiancé Ryley (@drachel) kickstart their video by revealing they track each other’s location.

According to Ryley, “Well, ’cause I’m possessive, and she’s a baddie. Can’t have any other guys hitting that.”

Moving on to the next hot take, Ryley admits making all the “major financial decisions.”

The couple then shares how they don’t have friends of the opposite gender. “Again, she’s a baddie,” Ryley emphasizes.

Housework vs Fixing Things

Rachel explains that her responsibilities include household chores, including cleaning and laundry.

Ryley takes charge of taking out the rubbish and “fixing things.”

People urge the pair to “not go through with the wedding.”

In response to the backlash, Rachel and Ryley follow up with a second clip, defending their choices as what works best for them.

Red Flags!

They clarify that they share locations for “safety reasons” and for surprise visits.

They assert that they openly discuss finances, but Ryley always has the “final say.”

Critics remain skeptical. “Oh, here are the red flags,” one person wrote.

People aren’t easily convinced, “I hope this is satire,” another user put.

Do you think this relationship is toxic? Should they call off the wedding? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
