Floundering Does Nothing to Project Strength. Desantis Slams Older Politicians and the Risks and Dangers of Electing Individuals in Their 80s To Serve in High Office. He Insists He’ll Bring Much-Needed Vigor and Vitality to the White House

In a recent episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis highlighted the importance of younger politicians taking the reins of leadership. Here’s the full story.

There Are Concerns About Senator Mitch McConnell’s Health

The conversation arose after concerns were raised about the health of 81-year-old Senator Mitch McConnell, who recently experienced a freeze during a press conference.

This incident, coupled with concerns about the fitness of President Joe Biden, led to a discussion about the risks and dangers of electing individuals in their 80s to serve in high office.

Governor DeSantis, a conservative commentator, said, “It used to not be that way. I mean, you used to kind of serve in your prime and then pass the baton to the next generation. I think this generation has not really been as willing to do that.”

He emphasized the need for energy, Vigor, and vitality in the executive branch, which he believes is lacking in some older leaders.

“We Need Some Vigor, Some Vitality”

Desantis said, “I mean my gosh — we need energy in the executive, we need some vigor, some vitality. And when I go in on day one, we will spit nails starting January 20 of 2025.”

“We’re going to have all the executive orders written before we take off as all the legislation we want will be done. “We’ll have thousands of appointees to send to the Senate for confirmation. We’re not going to miss a beat,” he added.

The Florida governor firmly believes that taking advantage of every opportunity during his potential presidency is essential.

DeSantis contended that Americans are yearning for a president who exudes confidence, strength, and competence, qualities that he believes President Biden is perceived to be lacking due to his age and recent behavior.

Floundering Does Nothing to Project Strength

DeSantis did not shy away from discussing the incumbent’s age, pointing out that Biden has been in politics for several decades, having been elected as a Senator long before the governor himself was born.

He said, “You just watch him and it’s not good for our country to have a president that’s floundering around like that. It doesn’t project strength to our adversaries.

He added, “It doesn’t inspire confidence in our allies, and I think Americans look and they want to see a president that they can have confidence in. And Biden is just not that with how he’s been behaving.”

Several social media users expressed their thoughts on the incident.

“He Is Exactly What Our Country Needs, Authentic and Grounded in Reality”

One Youtube user wrote, “You got to love this man. He is logical, sane, direct, moral, and ethical…….he is exactly what our country needs, authentic and grounded in reality.”

Another user wrote, “RFK, DeSantis, or Trump are the only options at this point. I’d be fine with any of them from what I’ve seen so far. If Biden gets it, honestly I would consider leaving the country for those 4 years or something.”
