During Donald Trump’s recent speech at the Pray Vote Stand Summit in Washington, D.C., the former president found himself making multiple mistakes while attacking Biden for his alleged gaffes. Here’s the whole story.
Totally Corrupt
Trump’s speech began with a scathing assessment of Biden, declaring him “totally corrupt” and labeling him as “the worst president in the history of our country.”
Trump said, “We have a man who is totally corrupt and the worst president in the history of our country, who is cognitively impaired, in no condition to lead, and is now in charge of dealing with Russia and possible nuclear war.”
“Obliterate Everything There Is”
“Just think of it. We would be in World War 2 very quickly if we’re going to be relying on this man, and far more devastating than any war. There will never be a war if that happens— there will never be a war like this. It will obliterate everything there is, everybody; it will obliterate every country,” he added.
Trump’s reference to “World War 2” appears to be a slip of the tongue, as he likely meant to mention “World War 3.”
Isn’t It Ironic?
Adding to the irony, Trump made another error when he tried to discuss the 2024 election polls.
He initially mentioned how he was “beating former President Barack Obama” in those polls but quickly corrected himself.
“As you know, crooked Joe Biden and the radical left thugs have weaponized law enforcement to arrest their leading political opponent, and leading by a lot, including Obam— I’ll tell you what,” he said.
Mixing Up Opponents
“You take a look at Obama and take a look at some of the things that he’s done, this is the same thing,” Trump continued.
“The country was very divided, and we did with Obama, we won an election that everyone said couldn’t be won, we beat [pause] Hillary Clinton,” Trump concluded.
However, Trump’s criticism of Biden’s mental ability is not new.
“Not Too Old, He’s Incompetent”
In a recent interview on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” he discussed Biden’s suitability for the presidency.
When asked if Biden’s age was a concern, Trump replied, “No, not for the reason of ‘old’ because I have many friends that are in their 80s. I have friends – Bernie Marcus – that are in their 90s and they’re sharp as a tack. I mean, I would say just about what they used to be. No, not old, he’s incompetent. He’s not too old, he’s incompetent.”
Several social media users shared their thoughts on the incident.
One Twitter user wrote, “Did someone forget how many world wars there were?”
“Neither Is up for the Job”
Another user added, “They’re both too old. We need someone who isn’t mentally challenged with a good vision.”
A third user commented, “One has to allow for human errors. I ignore people pointing out errors on both sides. But one does need to assess if our leaders are being controlled and are corrupted.”
A fourth user wrote, “Neither of these men should be anywhere near the White House unless they are purchasing a ticket for a tour. Neither is up for the job anymore.”
