Having grown up in a Christian family in Slaton, Texas, he made his debut as a writer and producer at a historic regional theater located in his hometown, the Garza.
Boreing met Joel David Moore, who would later become his writing partner, in 2002. Moore was a mutual friend to Boreing, and he helped Moore move his couch.
Later on, Boreing relocated to Los Angeles and began working as a screenwriter and producer. Upon arriving in Hollywood for the first time, he was assigned to work with Zachary Levi, his Lubbock friend, and Eric McCormack in order to work on a pilot for Michael C. Forman’s production company.
Boreing later signed with the William Morris Agency’s literary department. In 2006, he completed his first short film, entitled Miles from Home. He founded a home church in Los Angeles as a Christian pastor.
His 2022 production was Shut In, a film directed by DJ Caruso. His partner and he continue to run The Daily Wire together as Co-CEOs.
