When Alex Trebek died, Colonial Penn had removed all references to Alex Trebek. Most, if not all, commercials of the life insurance company that featured Alex Trebek were replaced by Jonathan Lawson. Initially, this replacement was temporary. Though, later, Jonathan Lawson became the leading pitchman.

Jonathan Lawson was born on 3rd June 1980, in Dunedin, Florida. This means that he is 42 years old, as of this writing i.e. August 2022. Jonathan Lawson attended a local high school and graduated from high school in 1998. He then enrolled at Pierce College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
After that, he spent the following fourteen years in the Marine Corps as an infantryman. There, he served in combat. He was also a Master Instructor at the Marine Corps University.

Then, in 2020, Jonathan Lawson became the pitchman for Colonial Penn’s commercials. This happened after the previous leading pitchman was unavailable at times due to health issues.
Later, when the previous leading pitchman, Alex Trebek, died, Jonathan Lawson became the leading pitchman for Colonial Penn’s commercials. Commercials in which Jonathan Lawson was the leading pitchman also replaced those in which Alex Trebek was the leading pitchman of Colonial Penn.
