Instead, Melania’s focus on privacy keeps her public persona somewhat mysterious, which is different from the traditional role of a first lady.
Melania did have her own initiative with the Be Best Campaign that hoped to reduce cyberbullying, but that had a relatively small cultural impact when compared to the efforts made by her predecessors.
While she still supports her husband’s political ambitions, her personal interests seem to prioritize her own privacy and independence.
Lack of Public Support for Her Husband’s Campaign
However, The Irish Times reported Melania’s lack of public support for her husband’s campaign does not indicate disapproval.
Instead, she remains defensive of her husband and believes their family has been unfairly attacked throughout his campaign.
Deeply skeptical of mainstream media, she relies on the conservative British tabloid Daily Mail for news about her husband.
Melania’s attempts at maintaining her privacy have been complicated by her husband, who has brought her back into the political world as he faces possible legal challenges.

However, she has not publicly appeared on the campaign trail or in court proceedings. Stephanie Grisham, a former Trump aide, told the Irish Times, “I don’t think it’s going to be anything like what we’ve seen with Casey DeSantis” and “She’s not going to be throwing on jeans and walking in parades.”
She maintains close ties with a select group of friends from her time in the White House and her parents, who often attend events at Mar-a-Lago, the Trumps’ private club.
Despite her supportive stance on her husband’s presidential bid, she has not engaged in campaigning like Casey DeSantis, the wife of Governor Ron DeSantis, who actively participates in his events.
She Promotes Her Non-Fungible Token Collection
Melania remains active on social media, primarily promoting her NFT (non-fungible token) collection, which includes digital drawings and memorabilia.
Her NFT venture sets her apart from previous first ladies, who capitalized on their fame through book deals and paid speeches.
Nowadays, Melania’s world revolves around a small circle of family and close friends, as reported by the Irish Times.
What Is the Possibility of Becoming the First Lady Again?
She focuses on supporting her son, Barron, in his college search and spends her time at her three homes, away from the public spotlight.
Looking ahead, Melania could be forgiven for wondering about the possibility of becoming the first lady again should her husband win the election. However, she has not committed to campaigning for him actively.
