Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin recently made headlines for her strong and controversial opinions about former President Donald Trump’s legal challenges. Here’s the full story.
Palin Expressed Her Outrage at Trump’s Multiple Arrests and Bookings
During a Newsmax broadcast with Eric Bolling on August 24, Palin expressed her outrage at Trump’s multiple arrests and bookings within six months.
The backdrop for Palin’s comments is Trump’s arrest in Fulton County, where he faces 13 felony counts related to his alleged efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.
During the Newsmax broadcast, Bolling and Palin discussed the government’s decision to hold Trump responsible for his actions.
Bolling openly admitted his disagreement with this approach, and Palin seemed to align with his perspective.
“Do You Have Concern for the Country, as I Do?”
“We’ve talked about the two-tiered justice system, but when you see it happening, when you see the former president being fingerprinted, having to show up, turn himself in, you see the mug shots of the other, I don’t know, seven or eight who’ve turned himself in already… Do you have concern for the country, as I do?” the journalist asked Palin.
“Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I think those who are conducting this travesty and creating this two-tier system of justice, I want to ask them: What the heck? Do you want us to be in a civil war?” she replied.
“Because that’s what’s going to happen. We’re not going to keep putting up with this,” Palin added.
“Rise up and Take Our Country Back”
Agreeing with Boiling, Palin said, “And Eric, I like that you suggested that we need to get angry. We do need to rise up and take our country back.”
However, her call for citizens to “rise up and take our country back” has also raised eyebrows, with critics questioning the implications of such rhetoric in a politically charged environment.
Palin’s criticism extended beyond the government to the Republican National Committee (RNC).
She expressed disappointment in the RNC’s lack of collective anger and their perceived failure to support Trump during these legal challenges.
“A Bunch of Freaking RINOS Running the Thing.”
She said, “Now, I would say the RNC, though, that’s what’s lacking when it comes to collective anger that can be healthy and it can be useful. Where is the RNC? They hold the purse strings to the party. They hold the funds that could be helping out in this situation. They have the platform. And yet they’re too timid, and a bunch of freaking RINOs running the thing.”
“So, the RNC, they better get their stuff together, or I have to ask them, too: What do they want as an outcome of this? Civil war?” she concluded.
Several social media users expressed their thoughts on the incident.’
“This Is the Most Idiotic Woman on the Face of the Earth, She and a Hand Full of Folk Will Be There for the Civil War, Most Will Be at Work, or Somewhere Else”
One user wrote, “If Sarah Palin wants a civil war why doesn’t she just start fighting on her own – why do the rest of us need to be dragged into her nonsense.”
Another user added, “This is the most idiotic woman on the face of the earth, she and a HAND full of folk will be there for the civil war, most will be at work, or somewhere else.”
