Simple Sugars Net Worth
The success of Lani Lazzari did not come overnight. Simple Sugars took years to reach its current status, with sales of over $10 million.
Founder’s story
Having just turned 11, Lazzari began making her own skincare products at home in 2005.
“I was one of those people who was always in the dermatologist’s office,” recalled Lazzari, who had eczema flare-ups as a child.
The first scrub Lazzari made was with sugar, almond oil, and vanilla and it worked well for her sensitive skin. Then she began selling them at markets and craft shows. In 2013, Lazzari created Simple Sugars, a successful online business, based on her hobby.
Shark Tank deal
After 18-year-old Lani Lazzari pitched Simple Sugars on Shark Tank in 2013, the company was funded by Mark Cuban, and became a huge success.
Apparently, Lani and Mark Cuban closed a deal worth $100,000.00 for a 33% stake in Simple Sugar Scrubs. Her website was updated and 1000 units were stocked with her all-natural Eczema skin scrub.
Within minutes of Lazzari’s appearance on the show, orders flooded in and the product was sold out.
