Trump Tries Dodging Any Wrongdoings as He Vows To Stay In 2024 Race Despite His Looming Prison Sentence – “I Won’t Back Down!”

Former President Donald Trump, who found himself entangled in legal troubles once again, said he won’t pull out of the 2024 race even if he is given a prison sentence. Here’s the full story.

Trump Claims He’s the Victim

The allegations stem from a cover-up at Mar-a-Lago, where he was accused of retaining classified documents and ordering the deletion of security footage during an FBI investigation.

Despite mounting evidence against him, Trump vehemently denies any wrongdoing and portrays himself as a victim of a political witch hunt.

Alongside Trump, two individuals are also implicated in the case: Carlos De Oliveira, a longtime Mar-a-Lago property manager, and an aide named Walt Nauta.

All three face charges related to tampering with evidence.

He Believes He’s Innocent

With the trial scheduled for May 2024, a conviction could significantly impact Trump’s potential presidential bid in the same year.

Nonetheless, the former president remains steadfast in his belief of innocence, claiming that the charges are part of a larger effort to coerce his associates into making false statements against him.

When the conservative radio host John Fredericks asked him whether his campaign would end if he was convicted and sentenced.

Trump replied, “Not at all.’There’s nothing in the Constitution to say that.”

As He Sidesteps the Allegations

In defense of his two associates, De Oliveira and Nauta, Trump describes them as loyal and dedicated employees.

He said, “These are two wonderful employees. They’ve been with me for a long time and they’re great people and they want to destroy their lives.”

Trump’s Republican allies rallied around him, choosing to echo his talking points while sidestepping the core allegations.

“We Deserve Every Single Bad Thing That Happens to Us”

Several social media users expressed their thoughts on the incident.

One Twitter user wrote, “If this country elects someone in prison as president – we deserve EVERY SINGLE BAD THING THAT HAPPENS TO US”

Another user wrote, “Trumped up election interference nonsense. Joe Biden has weaponized the Department of justice. He should definitely be thrown out of office for that.”
