In a recent interview with radio show host Glenn Beck on August 29, former President Donald Trump made headlines again with his comments about potential legal actions if he secured victory in the 2024 presidential election. Here’s the whole story.
Trump’s Clinton Chant “Lock Her Up”
During the conversation, Trump discussed his infamous campaign rally chants of “lock her up,” referring to his political rival Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential race.
Beck questioned, “And then when you became president, you said, ‘We don’t do that in America.’ That’s what they’re doing. Do you regret not locking her up? And if you’re president again, will you lock people up?”
Trump replied, “Uh, the answer is you have no choice because they’re doing it to us.”
“I always had such great respect for the office of the president … I never hit [Joe] Biden as hard as I could have,” he added.
“You Know, I Don’t Think He’s Sharp Enough To Think About Much”
The conversation further touched on President Biden and Trump’s current legal challenges. The former president attributed his legal woes to Biden, claiming that “every one of these indictments is him.”
Trump said, “You know, I don’t think he’s sharp enough to think about much, but he was there and he was probably the one giving the order.”
“But he was, you know, hard to believe that he even thinks about that because he’s gone,” he added.
He went on to link the Manhattan district attorney’s office with Fani Willis, alleging coordination that is detrimental to his legal situation.
Trump’s Legal Battles Are Gaining Attention
Trump also revisited accusations against him, including E. Jean Carroll’s claims of rape, asserting that these accusations were part of a broader agenda by the Democratic Party.
He labeled his critics, “But these are sick people. These are evil people.”
Currently facing a staggering 91 felony counts spread across four indictments, Trump’s legal battles are gaining attention as his first trial is slated to commence on March 4, 2024.
Coincidentally, this date falls just a day before the presidential primary election day, raising questions about the trial’s potential impact on his political aspirations.
“Mr. Trump Still Has No Idea of How the Government Works”
Despite his legal challenges, Trump remains determined to fight against the trial date, promising to appeal what he perceives as a biased decision by the judge.
Several social media users expressed their thoughts on the incident.
