His father introduced him to bitcoin when he was 17 years old. After winning the Thiel Fellowship for $100 thousand, Buterin joined Ethereum full-time. Since 2011, he has been contributing to Bitcoin Magazine as the lead writer and co-founder.
Buterin is the inventor of Ethereum, a “software development platform” and “decentralized mining network” that facilitates the creation of cryptocurrencies and programs that share a single block chain.
