A Disturbing Home Visit
In suburban Atlanta, a homeowner’s ordinary check-up on his property took a disturbing turn.
After the departure of a previous tenant, Tim Arko found himself facing a dangerous situation on the driveway of his house.
As Arko pulled into his driveway, he was met with a shocking sight: a stranger, armed and hostile, waving a gun in his face.
He recounted his response, saying, “I just jumped the fence and ran. I didn’t know what else to do.”
“Weapons, a Prostitute, a Bunch of Dogs”
Arko described what he stumbled upon after returning to the house, stating, “I didn’t walk in on a family eating dinner. I walked in on weapons, a prostitute, a bunch of dogs in the back, my fence broken down.”
In a bizarre turn of events, Arko’s decision to dial 911 and report the intrusion led to a shocking outcome.
Instead of receiving assistance, he found himself in handcuffs and under arrest.
HE Was Arrested!
He shared his astonishment, “They told the police that I was a home invader and that it was their home. And so I ended up being arrested and detained.”
Arko has been fighting in court to evict the squatters, who have continued to reside in his house for six months.
Amid this legal battle, two tragic loss of lives have occurred within the residence.
Eviction on the Horizon?
While grappling with the squatter issue, Arko faced yet another setback as code enforcement cited him for not maintaining the property he was legally unable to access.
He revealed that he hopes for a full eviction in one month, “I have been informed by marshals that they are hoping for a September eviction.”
Arko blames the system, saying, “I feel like it’s very heavily weighted towards these trespassers and criminals, not people that got duped.”
